Donation & Refund Policy

NetZero India Foundation values the trust and support of every donor. This Donation & Refund Policy outlines how donations are handled, managed, and refunded when applicable. It applies to all donations made through our website netzeroindia.org.

1. Purpose of Donations

All donations received are used exclusively to support our environmental initiatives, including but not limited to:

• Tree plantation drives

• Carbon offsetting projects

• Biodiversity support programs

• Community engagement and sustainability awareness campaigns

Donations contribute directly to on-ground projects and associated operational costs required for project execution.

2. Donation Terms

• Donations are voluntary contributions. By donating, you acknowledge that your contribution supports our environmental mission.

• Donations may qualify for tax benefits under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Eligible donors will receive receipts via email.

• Donors may receive access to a personal dashboard displaying tree tracking, blockchain verification, and impact data.

• All donations are processed via secure third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay). NetZero India Foundation does not store sensitive payment details.

• Donors agree that donation confirmations and receipts are delivered electronically unless otherwise requested.

3. Refund Policy

• General Rule: Donations are generally non-refundable, as they are used immediately to fund projects and operational expenses.

• Exceptions: Refunds may be issued only in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate payments made in error.

  • Technical errors or transaction failures from the payment gateway.

  • Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.

• Refund requests must be submitted within 7 business days of the transaction to hello@netzeroindia.org.

• Approved refunds will be processed within 10–14 business days and credited to the original payment method.

• Refund requests outside the specified timeframe or not meeting the exceptions will generally not be honored.

4. Recurring Donations and Subscriptions

• Monthly tree subscriptions or other recurring donation programs may be canceled by contacting hello@netzeroindia.org at least 7 days before the next billing cycle.

• Upon cancellation, no further payments will be collected, but prior contributions will remain non-refundable unless the above exceptions apply.

5. Transparency and Accountability

• Donors can track the progress and survival of trees they have sponsored via a secure dashboard.

• Trees are geo-tagged and tracked using blockchain technology for verifiable impact.

• We provide photo and video updates to ensure transparency in how donations are used.
