Job Title: Sustainable Financing Consultant
Job Description
Net Zero India is seeking a Sustainable Financing Consultant to develop and implement financing strategies that support the transition to a net-zero economy. This role focuses on securing funding for climate projects, advising on green financing mechanisms, and ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sustainable Finance Strategy & Advisory
- Develop financing strategies for renewable energy, carbon reduction, and other climate-focused initiatives.
- Advise on ESG investment opportunities and impact funding.
2. Green & Climate Finance Mobilization
- Secure funding through green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, carbon credit financing, and other instruments.
- Engage with banks, financial institutions, impact investors, and government agencies to unlock climate finance.
3. Investment Structuring & Fundraising
- Structure innovative financing models such as blended finance, PPPs (Public-Private Partnerships), and risk-sharing mechanisms.
- Support fundraising through equity, debt, grants, and concessional finance.
4. Policy & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure projects align with national and international climate policies, including India’s green finance framework.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, carbon market trends, and sustainable investment guidelines.
5. Financial Analysis & Risk Assessment
- Conduct financial modeling, risk assessments, and return-on-investment analysis for sustainable projects.
- Evaluate the financial viability of Net Zero India’s sustainability initiatives.
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Building
- Collaborate with government bodies, financial institutions, corporate partners, and NGOs for sustainable funding solutions.
- Conduct workshops, training, and awareness programs on green finance opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in sustainable finance, green bonds, ESG investments, or climate-focused fundraising.
- Knowledge of climate finance mechanisms, carbon trading, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with development finance institutions, banks, venture capital, or government grant programs.
- Expertise in financial modeling, impact assessment, and risk evaluation.
- Strong networking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Background in finance, economics, sustainability, or a related field.
