1. About NetZero India Foundation

Q: What is NetZero India Foundation?
A: We are a registered non-profit organization working towards building a sustainable future through tree plantation, carbon offsetting, biodiversity support, and climate action projects.

Q: Is NetZero India Foundation a registered entity?
A: Yes. We are provisionally approved under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (Unique Registration Number: AAJCN1481AF20231) for the assessment years 2024–25 to 2026–27.

2. Donations & Payments

Q: How can I donate?
A: You can donate securely via our website using Razorpay or other authorized payment gateways. Options include one-time donations, monthly tree subscriptions, or Green Wallet prepaid plans.

Q: What is the minimum donation amount?
A: You can plant a tree for ₹500. Larger donations are also welcome, including bulk plantation and mini-forest creation packages.

Q: Are donations refundable?
A: Donations are generally non-refundable. However, exceptions are made for duplicate transactions, technical errors, or unauthorized charges (see Donation & Refund Policy).

Q: Do I get a receipt for my donation?
A: Yes. An electronic donation receipt is emailed to you immediately after your payment is confirmed.

3. Tax Benefits

Q: Are my donations tax-deductible?
A: Yes. Donations are eligible for tax deductions under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, subject to government rules.

Q: How do I get my 80G certificate?
A: Eligible donors automatically receive an 80G certificate via email. Please ensure your email and PAN details are correct when donating.

4. Transparency & Tracking

Q: How do I know my tree is really planted?
A: Every tree is geo-tagged and recorded on blockchain for full transparency. You can access your donor dashboard to see live updates, survival rates, and environmental impact.

Q: Can I visit the trees I have sponsored?
A: Yes. Donors are welcome to visit plantation sites. We also share periodic photos and videos.

Q: What happens if a tree does not survive?
A: Our team ensures replacement and lifetime care so that only surviving trees are counted in your dashboard.

5. Subscriptions & Green Wallet

Q: What is a Monthly Tree Subscription?
A: It is a recurring plan where you can sponsor new trees every month, with impact data updated in your dashboard.

Q: What is the Green Wallet?
A: The Green Wallet allows you to preload funds and use them to plant trees, send green gift cards, or redeem eco-benefits.

Q: How can I cancel a subscription?
A: Subscriptions can be canceled by emailing hello@netzeroindia.org at least 7 days before the next billing cycle.

6. User Accounts & Blogs

Q: Do I need to register to donate?
A: No. Donations can be made without registration. However, creating an account allows you to track your impact and publish blogs.

Q: Can I publish blogs on the website?
A: Yes. Registered users can publish sustainability-related blogs. All submissions are moderated to ensure quality and compliance with our guidelines.

Q: Who owns the content I publish?
A: You retain ownership of your content but grant us a license to display it on the Website (see Terms & Conditions).

7. Leads & Forms

Q: What happens when I submit a form on the Website?
A: When you submit a form (e.g., to partner, volunteer, or inquire), the information is securely collected and used only to respond to your request. We do not sell or rent your data.

Q: Will I receive updates if I share my email?
A: Yes, you may receive newsletters, impact reports, and campaign updates. You can unsubscribe anytime.

8. Environmental Impact

Q: How much CO₂ does one tree absorb?
A: On average, a tree absorbs 25 kg of CO₂ annually, though this may vary by species and local conditions.

Q: Do you plant fruit-bearing or native trees?
A: Yes. Our plantations include native, fruit-bearing, and medicinal species to support biodiversity, soil health, and water recharge.

Q: Can companies collaborate for carbon offsetting?
A: Yes. We provide customized dashboards, CSR reporting, and co-branded campaigns for corporate and institutional partners.
